CAA Evidence Readiness Scan · $2,500 · invoiced
PackClose traces reported packaging weights back to components, source documents, calculations, and state sales — so your team can identify evidence gaps before an invoice question, validation request, or Adjustment. PackClose is the evidence layer behind an EPR filing: we reconstruct how reported packaging weights were produced, link them to source evidence, and identify what may fail during CAA validation or a participant-requested Adjustment.
Fixed scope · invoiced under an engagement letter, paid 100% upfront (due upon receipt) — no subscription, no card, no checkout button · delivered within five business days after the later of cleared payment and complete inputs.
The CY2025 producer reports are filed. What remains open is everything that follows a filing: CAA currently expects California early-fee invoices in August 2026, based on CY2025 supply data; CAA validation may examine reporting methods, categories, brands, and supporting evidence (Reporting Policy V2, §3.10); producer-requested Adjustments are generally limited to one per Producer Report and Report Year (§3.12); and CAA-issued Corrections run on separate 30-day response and 60-day form timelines (§3.11). The scan answers one question with evidence: if any of those arrive, can your numbers be reproduced — and where are the gaps?
One tightly-scoped engagement, so the price can be fixed and the delivery date real.
More entities, families, states, or sources than this? That is a scoping conversation, not a bigger invoice by surprise — book the fit check.
A sampled set of reported weights traced component-by-component to the packaging/specification source behind each number.
We independently recompute sampled state totals from your components, weights, and sales export — and show where our arithmetic does and does not land on what was reported.
Every sampled value classified: supported by a source, estimated, unsupported, or inconsistent between sources.
How the reported figures appear to have been produced — allocation basis, units, rounding — and where the lineage cannot be reconstructed.
A prioritized action list keyed to the CAA lanes: what to fix before an invoice question, what a validation request would ask for, what belongs in the one Adjustment you get per report year.
The scan's working file — the sample, recomputations, and classifications in one place, reviewed against our documented internal QA checklist by the engagement lead before delivery.
A working session on the findings and the action list, with the people who own the data.
Fixed exclusions, stated up front — these do not change with persuasion.
PackClose does not determine producer status, provide legal advice, submit filings, guarantee compliance, or promise fee savings — on this engagement or any other.
States, entities, configurations, and what was filed. If the scan is not the right instrument, we say so on this call and part as friends.
Fixed $2,500 fee, invoiced on acceptance and paid 100% upfront, due upon receipt; the five-day clock starts once payment clears and inputs are complete. You get a one-page input checklist. Confidentiality and data-handling terms (including a DPA) are part of the engagement paperwork.
Five business days from complete inputs. Questions land in one consolidated thread, not a drip.
Findings, gap map, and the readiness action list — with the workpaper in your hands before the call.
Engagement inputs are handled under the signed engagement terms — see Security & Trust for the current control state, stated honestly. The public demo and in-browser tools run on synthetic data only.
This is what substantiation looks like when it is real work: a workpaper and a substantiation pack from our synthetic demonstration company, Golden Hour Beauty Co. Every identity, number, and document in both files is synthetic — no customer data, no real supplier names, no real outcomes. The structure is exactly what the scan's deliverables follow.
Labeled synthetic in the files themselves. No customer, reviewer, certification, or outcome is implied.
Tell us your states, entities, product family, and roughly how many packaging configurations are in play — and whether you want the scan or a 20-minute fit check first. A person replies from [email protected]; no newsletter, no sequence.
Prefer email? [email protected] reaches the same person. Please keep confidential details out of a first message — how we handle what you send is in the privacy policy. Payment is never collected here: engagements are invoiced after qualification and an accepted engagement agreement, and the fee is paid in full upfront — work begins once payment has cleared.
