CAA Evidence Readiness Scan · $2,500 · invoiced
Exactly what one scan covers, and what it does not
Written down before you buy, so nothing about the engagement is a
surprise on either side. If your situation does not fit this shape, say so and I will tell
you honestly whether it is worth doing.
One scan is one bounded unit of work
- One reporting legal entity. Affiliated subsidiaries that register separately are separate scans.
- One state and one data year, against one report you have already submitted.
- Up to 20 reported component rows, drawn from up to 5 SKUs or pack configurations.
- One intake freeze. Source documents as they stand on an agreed date. Later versions are a new scan.
What you provide
- The reported rows: an export, or a screenshot if that is easier.
- The source documents you believe stand behind them.
- Your methodology, if it was written down. If it was not, say so. That is a finding, not a failure.
- The programme guidance version applicable to that report, which you can access and I cannot.
- One named person who can answer a question within a business day.
What you receive
- An XLSX workpaper: every selected row traced to a source record, classified by evidence
strength, with gap type and a fee-and-uncertainty weighted priority.
- A short written method note recording what was examined and how rows were selected.
- A 45-minute findings readout.
- The workpaper is yours. No platform, no login, no subscription.
What is deliberately excluded
This list is the point of the page. Everything here is out of scope, and no part of the fee buys it.
- No filing, submission or registration with any programme or regulator.
- No determination of whether you are an obligated producer.
- No fee calculation, forecast, or challenge to an invoice.
- No certification, attestation, validation, or audit opinion. This is not an assurance engagement.
- No legal or regulatory advice.
- No contacting your suppliers on your behalf.
- No creating evidence that does not exist. Where a record is missing, that is the finding.
- No packaging redesign or material recommendations.
- No remediation of the gaps identified. That is separate work, separately quoted.
How the five days are counted
Delivery is within five business days of the later of cleared payment and complete intake.
If what arrives is incomplete, you will hear within one business day exactly what is missing, and the
clock pauses until it lands. The clock is never running while I am waiting on you without telling you.
If complete inputs have not arrived within 30 days of payment, the engagement closes and the refund
terms in your engagement letter apply.
Changing the shape
More rows, more SKUs, a second state or a second data year are each a new scan, quoted before any
work starts. Nothing expands quietly.
What I am not
Not a law firm, not an accounting firm, not an accredited auditor, and not affiliated with any
programme or state agency. No professional liability insurance is in force at present; if that matters
to your risk team, tell them before engaging rather than after. Every reporting decision remains yours.
PackClose is a trading name of Lapilo Labs, LLC, a Florida limited liability company in formation.
Until that formation is effective the contracting party is Cody Rasmussen personally.
